Oh what fun, Zayda is turning one!
It is hard to believe that fourteen months ago, my husband and I met our sweet chubby-cheeked baby girl, Zayda. Many people told me that the time with my little one would go by in an instant, and now I believe them. All the time isn't time enough. Before I knew it, her first birthday was approaching.
For months leading up to her first birthday, I began pinning ideas on Pinterest with zeal. Pins of pink and gold ruffles, lace, invites, candy and sweet treats, punch, dresses, skirts, tablecloths, streamers, napkins, plates, balloons, straws, and wrapping took up residence on my Pinterest board. Even though I knew she wouldn't remember this birthday, I still wanted it to be fabulous and special for both her and me. I knew too that this party was also partly for myself, for me to celebrate and bask in the fantastic first year of my daughter's life. Zayda's first birthday was such an enjoyable and blessed occasion. My husband and I had a wonderful time and were so thankful for all the love Zayda received; I think Zayda had a splendid time as well. All the details about her birthday are below.
Zayda had two birthday outfits. One for her cake smash pictures and one for her party. Both were bought from the GraceandLucille Etsy store. I adore both outfits! Click here for the link to the black first birthday outfit and click here for the link to the pink first birthday outfit.
My husband designed the invitations to match Zayda's pink and white party dress. My husband is a freelance graphic designer, click here to view AXB Designs Facebook page. He also created Zayda's First Birthday Chalkboard.
Yours Truly, LeNae
